The Challenger is a bigger car but Id say my old GTO and the Challenger feel about the same performance-wise. Never raced either, just my impressions. I have a 5.3 Chevy as a company work truck, and a ram 1500 with the 5.7 for my personal vehicle. The 5.3 is a bore to drive and underpowered but pretty reliable the Chevy is on its third transmission though. The 5.7 hemi has a lot more get up and go, but I don't think has the longevity of the 5.3. If it was my money, I would take the 5.7 Ram
